Introduction
At Ultra Support, we are committed to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of our mission to create positive social and environmental impact. We strive to foster a more equitable, healthy, and sustainable world through targeted actions aligned with specific SDGs. Our dedication to these goals is evident in our comprehensive approach to addressing critical issues such as poverty, health and well-being, gender equality, and responsible consumption and production. In this endeavour, we outline our targets and actions for each SDG, demonstrating our commitment to making a meaningful difference in the world.
SDG 1: No Poverty
Targets:
- 100% of staff receive wages that surpass the living wage threshold.
- Participate in at least two community outreach programmes annually, with a 10% year-on-year increase in beneficiaries.
- Ensure a minimum of 75% staff participation in annual training programmes.
Actions:
- Review and adjust salary structures to ensure compliance with the living wage requirements.
- Identify and collaborate with local organisations focused on poverty alleviation for outreach programmes.
- Develop and offer a range of training and professional development opportunities tailored to employee needs.
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
Targets:
- Achieve 80% employee participation in wellness programmes.
- Attain 90% employee satisfaction with support for health needs.
- Contribute 100 volunteer hours or a 10% annual increase in donations to health initiatives.
- Encourage regular physical activity among employees/members to improve overall health and well-being, reduce stress, and decrease the risk of chronic diseases.
Actions:
- Launch and promote comprehensive wellness programmes that include mental and physical health components.
- Implement policies and practices that support a health-focused work environment.
- Partner with local health charities or initiatives to provide volunteer support and donations.
- Negotiated corporate vouchers with local gym to offer all employees/members free gym sessions.
SDG 5: Gender Equality
Targets:
- Maintain a gender ratio of 50:50 (+/- 15%) across all levels of the company.
- Ensure 100% of employees complete gender sensitivity training annually.
- Provide support for 100% of employees affected by gender-based issues.
Actions:
- Analyse workforce data to identify gender imbalances and develop recruitment and promotion strategies to address them.
- Roll out mandatory gender sensitivity training for all employees.
- Establish a straightforward, confidential process for reporting and addressing gender-based violence or discrimination.
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
Targets:
- Ensure 100% supplier compliance with environmental and ethical standards within two years on our approved supplier register.
- Achieve a 25% reduction in waste within two years, with a further 5% annual reduction.
- Transition to 95% sustainable materials in operations within three years.
- Achieve 90% employee participation in sustainability education programmes annually.
Actions:
- Conduct audits of current suppliers and engage only those who meet predefined environmental and ethical criteria.
- Implement waste reduction strategies, such as recycling programmes and process improvements.
- Research and shift towards using sustainable materials in production processes.
- Develop and deliver educational sessions on sustainability practices for employees, encouraging sustainable behaviours both in and outside the workplace.
