SDG – Sustainability Development Goals
Ultra Support is dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a global initiative endorsed by the United Nations in 2015, consisting of 17 interconnected objectives aimed at creating a better and more sustainable future for everyone by 2030. These goals address critical global challenges, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice. Ultra Support’s commitment involves integrating a number of these goals into its business strategy, focusing on fostering prosperity while protecting the environment and ensuring that no one is left behind in the global pursuit of sustainability and equity.
SDG-1 – No Poverty
SDG-1: No Poverty targets the complete eradication of extreme poverty, advocating for comprehensive social protection systems and strategies to ensure access to basic services and sustainable economic resources for all, particularly the vulnerable and marginalised.
SDG-2 – Zero Hunger
SDG-2: Zero Hunger aims to eradicate hunger, improve nutrition, and encourage sustainable agricultural practices. It prioritises ensuring that all people, especially the vulnerable and young, have continuous access to nutritious food.
SDG-3 – Good Health and Well- Being
SDG-3: Good Health and Well-being focuses on reducing global maternal and newborn deaths, ending the spread of infectious diseases, and promoting mental health and well-being, with a goal towards universal health coverage for all ages.
SDG-4 – Quality Education
SDG-4: Quality Education seeks to provide universal access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities. It stresses the importance of free primary and secondary education and affordable vocational and tertiary education to equip individuals with skills for sustainable development.
SDG-5 – Gender Equality
SDG-5: Gender Equality aims to eliminate discrimination and violence against women and girls, ensuring their full participation in all areas of society, and promoting equal opportunities, including leadership roles in decision-making processes.
SDG-6 – Clean Water and Sanitation
SDG-6: Clean Water and Sanitation highlights the need for universal access to clean and safe water and sanitation facilities. It calls for improving water quality, sustainable water management practices, and the protection of water-related ecosystems.
SDG-7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
SDG-7: Affordable and Clean Energy advocates for wider access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. It encourages an increase in renewable energy sources and advancements in energy efficiency globally.
SDG-8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
SDG-8: Decent Work and Economic Growth promotes sustained, inclusive economic growth and employment opportunities, emphasising job creation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and the importance of safe and secure working environments for all workers.
SDG-9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
SDG-9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure focuses on developing resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialisation, and fostering innovation, with a special emphasis on technological capabilities in developing nations.
SDG-10 – Reduced Inequality
SDG-10: Reduced Inequality concentrates on diminishing inequality within and among countries, advocating for policies that ensure equal opportunity and promote economic inclusion of all, regardless of their background.
SDG-11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities
SDG-11: Sustainable Cities and Communities aims to create inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable urban areas. It involves ensuring affordable housing, sustainable transport systems, reduced urban pollution, and access to green and public spaces.
SDG-12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
SDG-12: Responsible Consumption and Production is about sustainable resource and energy use, reducing waste through recycling and reuse, and promoting sustainable lifestyles through consumer education and corporate responsibility.
SDG-13 – Climate Action
SDG-13: Climate Action stresses urgent responses to combat climate change and its impacts. It includes enhancing adaptive capacities, strengthening resilience, and reducing vulnerabilities to climate-related hazards.
SDG-14 – Life Below Water
SDG-14: Life Below Water seeks to conserve and sustainably use oceanic and marine resources, addressing marine pollution, protecting aquatic ecosystems, and regulating fishing to prevent overexploitation.
SDG-15 – Life on Land
SDG-15: Life on Land emphasises protecting, restoring, and promoting sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. It aims to manage forests sustainably, combat desertification, reverse land degradation, and halt biodiversity loss.
SDG-16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
SDG-16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions aims to foster peaceful, inclusive societies with access to justice for everyone and build effective, accountable institutions at all levels. It also aims to reduce violence, end abuse and exploitation, and ensure participatory decision-making.
SDG-17 – Partnerships for the Goals
SDG-17: Partnerships for the Goals underscores the necessity for a revitalised global partnership to achieve the ambitious targets of the 2030 Agenda. This involves mobilising stronger financial resources, sharing knowledge, building capacity, and fostering economic, social, and technological support across borders.
